Jim Corbett is a wild place in Uttarakhand. Here one can spot a lot of wild animals in their natural habitat. Many tourists visit Jim Corbett Park to see those wild animals. This is a spacious park and is divided into 7 safari zones. The zones at Jim Corbett are the Dhikala Zone, Bijrani Zone, Jhirna Zone, Garjia Zone, Sitabani Zone, Dhela Zone, and Durga Devi Zone. These zones offer safaris in the morning and evening time. The time and route of safaris are decided by the forest officials and cannot be changed on requests from guests. A limited number of safari rides are allowed in each zone and you have to get permits for enjoying these safaris. You can choose the zone for safari according to your preference. Dhikala Zone

This zone is the biggest and offers canter safaris from November 15 to June 15. Up to 16 people can be there on canter safari. Gypsy safaris are not allowed to enter this zone of the park. A total of 2 canter safari rides are allowed each day, which means only 32 people can visit this zone in a day. You have to board the canter safari from the entry gate of Dhikala Zone. If you want to ride on a gypsy safari inside this zone then you have to make Dhikala night stay booking. Yes, this zone offers gypsy safari to only those people who opts for a night stay here. You should book your seats 45 days before your visit as the slots tend to fill up quickly. You can explore this zone only on morning safaris but you can stay here at night time at the Forest rest house. You have to get a permit from officials to stay at night time. This Jim Corbett safari zone is considered best for tiger sightings, you can also spot other animals like Wild Elephants, Leopards, Spotted Deer, Wild pigs, Hog Deer, Crocodiles, and Barking Deer along with many bird species.

This zone is open for Gypsy safari rides from October 15 to June 30 and people can enjoy a day Gypsy safari in this zone. Here, 6 people can enjoy a gypsy safari with 2 children between 5 to 12 years of age. 30 gypsies are allowed here for each shift, which means 180 people can visit this zone in each shift.   You have to fill in the full name, age, and sex of each visitor as printed the same on the identity cards of that person. Also, those identity cards need to be provided along with the confirmatory amount for the Jim Corbett Online Safari Booking.

Information to be kept in mind for Jim Corbett Safari Booking

  It is important for the tourists to obtain the entry pass that was issued during Jim Corbett online safari booking.

  The entry permit that we provide you is provisional and it can be canceled by the government without any prior intimation.

•  

  The Director of Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve is the supreme authority and he can make some decisions related to safari and that decision will be final as all is being governed under him.

  The entry permit that we have given you cannot be transferred to someone else. It has your ID proof and you are only allowed to enjoy a safari by using that permit.

  There will be an official registered guide during your safari. You are not allowed to change them because of mutual convenience.

  People are not allowed to enter this park after sunset for safari. However, they can stay in Forest Rest Houses for a night stay.

  On Saturday, Sunday, festivals, etc, the prices for safari can be high.

  Tourists are not allowed to get down from the gypsy, canter, or elephants during the ride.
